Reta Jo Lewis
Senior Advisor/Domestic & Global Engagement
Reta Jo Lewis is an expert in public diplomacy and policy focusing on domestic and global engagement at the state and local levels. She has extensive experience working with governors, mayors and legislators in the United States, as well as with central governments and provincial leaders throughout strategic regions in Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe.
Reta Jo served as the State Department’s Special Representative for Global Intergovernmental Affairs, under Secretaries of State Hillary Clinton and John Kerry. She was the principal architect that led the global engagement of U.S. state and local government leaders’ integration strategy on sustainability and climate change. In 2013, she was awarded the Secretary’s Distinguished Service Award.
Lewis also served as the Special Assistant to the President for Political Affairs in the Clinton White House and the Director of the Northeast and Southern Regions. She was the administration’s key point person for the White House task force on the 1994 FIFA World Cup of Soccer and the 1996 Olympics and Paralympic games in Atlanta.
Lewis has also held positions as the Director for Business Outreach for the Obama-Biden Transition Team and Vice President and Counselor at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce directing the Chamber’s efforts focused on small business and outreach to women and minority-owned businesses.
Prior to serving with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Lewis served as a Public Policy Law Partner at Greenberg Traurig, where she represented clients on domestic and international issues affecting international trade, corporate social responsibility.
Currently, Lewis is a member of the Nielsen African American External Advisory Board and the Green Electronics Counsel Board and is also a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and The International Women’s Forum. She was selected to be in the first class of the U.S. Presidential Management Fellows, serving in the Department of Justice’s Drug Enforcement Administration.
Lewis holds a bachelor’s in political science from University of Georgia, a master’s from American University, and a J.D. from Emory University School of Law.

Alexandra served as Special Projects Director at a clean energy fund, tasked to raise capital and grow business. Special projects included, scaling a green wastewater plant company providing innovative, energy efficient solutions to urban water challenges. She also obtained a USD50 million commitment for solar energy installations. A key hallmark of her accomplishments was mobilizing a coalition of US Government agencies, local and state officials and private industry contacts to recover investment monies withheld abroad. She sits on the advisory board of Amerocap LLC, a global investment firm and previously served as geopolitical strategist with EAS Advisors.
Alexandra was a principal in a consultancy, offering advice to select clients in finance, energy, and real estate, to enhance business models and achieve success. Providing global interest rate insight, geopolitical foresight, regulatory awareness she ensured corporate strategic goals were aligned with political and regulatory realities.

Kevin is an accomplished senior executive with over 20 years of success across entertainment, music, film, television, video, online media, gaming, and theatrical exhibition. After achieving several Grammy Award nominations and winning a Billboard Award as a music executive, Mitchell transitioned into the immersive experience sector of the entertainment business to adapt to the explosive shift in technology disrupting consumer consumption habits. This passion for convergence lead Kevin to become one of the driving forces to bring esports and the business of competitive video gaming into the classrooms of the Sports Communications Department at Emerson College.
As one of the first esports professors in the US, Kevin helped design an esports focused curriculum that integrates Emerson’s core academic strengths in sports and political communications, media, content creation, production and journalism and combined it with multiple experiential learning projects. Kevin’s day to day role as Director of Business Development for National Amusements, the parent company of Viacom, CBS and Showcase Cinemas provided the esports program with strategic access to several high growth esports projects rooted in the Boston area. Mitchell’s industry leading esports curriculum and innovative learning initiatives has led to development of America’s first pre-college esports program at Emerson College and the launch of the first conference in the US dedicated to collegiate esports called the College Esports Expo. Tara is a Registered Nurse, Integrative Therapist, and award-winning author. She is the Co-Founder of MEDBASICS, which created a comprehensive line of Baby & Toddler MEDBASICS books, apps, and other life-saving products. She is an innovative problem-solver and demonstrates expertise in productizing, particularly in the health and children's markets. Tara uses her experience with neurolinguistics and qualitative market research to ask the right questions, creating moments of "what if?" and "why not?" that move projects forward in a thoughtful, smart, and fun way. The answers to these questions help shape engaging stories because, as Sapiens author Yuval Noah Harari explains, "Humans think in stories, and we try to make sense of the world by telling stories." Jamal Halepota is currently a Commercial Executive at Microsoft, where he focuses on driving technological intensity at some of the world’s most famous companies.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Jamal built his career with experiences in Revenue and Operations at Snapchat, and investment banking at Credit Suisse’s Technology, Media, and Telecommunications Group. Jamal also previously served as Global Business Development Lead for the Cambridge Innovation Center, leading international and domestic expansion due diligence for the Cambridge, Mass.-based technology incubator. Previously, Jamal served as a Legislative Assistant to United States Senator Kirsten Gillibrand of New York analyzing, crafting, and advancing legislation in both the Senate and House of Representatives. While in the Senate, Jamal provided counsel and recommendations to the Senator informing votes on all issues related to energy, the environment, and aerospace. Jamal regularly established and maintained key strategic relationships with the White House, various federal agencies, and several Fortune 100 companies to produce legislative forecasts, build coalitions, develop narratives, and execute strategies.
Jamal holds a B.A. in Economics from Boston College, and an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. He is originally from Upstate New York, and is based in Atlanta, Georgia. He enjoys the outdoors, lacrosse, live music, and

Debbie Schwartz is a passionate product, engagement, marketing, business development, and organizational strategist. With more than 15 years of experience, Debbie has a reputation for being a creative thinker and business trailblazer in the digital healthcare space. She brings a keen aptitude for “diagnosing” and “prescribing” innovative medical and patient education solutions that provide her clients with a clear roadmap for entering or expanding into new markets, along with implementation guidance, and shaping the teams responsible for execution.
Debbie previously comes from WebMD/Medscape, where she led various teams including product and platform development, membership acquisition and audience engagement, data analytics, pricing and solution development, and online production. She was responsible for creating new teams and turning around existing teams, from both a management and efficiency standpoint.
It was during her tenure there that Debbie realized one of her greatest professional achievements: the launch of WebMD Education, an online platform collaboration between WebMD and Medscape Education. This innovative solution promotes shared decision-making between providers and patients through education on similar medical topics. The offering empowers both groups to have better conversations about health, disease, and the development of treatment plans, while improving outcomes.
Through the desire to make a difference, Debbie earned a Master’s in Public Health from Columbia University, with the goal of providing comprehensive health information to providers and patients. She also holds a BSBA in Marketing from Washington University’s John M. Olin School of Business.
